Job description:
• Resident supplier quality engineer is responsible for developing the client product quality in accordance with the requirements of the OEM. Oversees assessing and qualifying new/changed processes according to IATF 16949 and the AIAG including regulatory compliance. SQE is to perform regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, as well as actively participating in strategic development of sub-tiers to Supplier. SQE collaborates with the local supplier and serves as the liaison for OEM, engages with process/quality improvements including technical problem solving. SQE reports to Supplier Quality
- Manager at OEM Orlando.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Understanding, cascading, and executing OEM customer-specific requirements
• Tracking supplier quality performance and escalating issues accordingly including driving yield/DPMO improvements
• Maintaining successful relationships with supply, engineering, manufacturing, and regulatory departments both at local supplier and OEM.
• Calculating and understanding process capability studies and measurement system analyses
• 0km and Warranty problem solving (Shainin, Kepner Tregoe, A3, 8D)
• Experience in VDA 6.3 auditor and IATF auditor would be a plus
